The University of Wisconsin Board of Regents is the governing body for theUniversityofWisconsin Systemand oversees UW campuses across our state.  In recent years the Board of Regents has been dominated by membership fromMadisonandMilwaukee.

Senator Harsdorf has co-authored Senate Bill 28 (SB 28), which would require the University of Wisconsin Board of Regents to include representation from every area of the state.  This bill would ensure that every Congressional district inWisconsinwould have at least one member on the Board.

SB 28 is scheduled for a vote in the Assembly Committee on Colleges and Universities this week.  The bill passed the State Senate on May 17th.
